Soirée

Billed as “an evening of Words & Music featuring an International Cast including the Flying Zucchinis” our Soirée evening, held on 18 May, was an opportunity for all of us to relax and let our hair down, so to speak! Around fifty folks gathered in the Alun Morris Hall and we were superbly entertained by a cast and programme expertly put together by Malcolm Talbot (thank you Malcolm). Music and sanity was provided by JoJo, who tinkled the ivories with a varied selection of tunes, and songs from Lisa, whose relaxed and refined delivery cemented the evening. Words and insanity came in the form of a selection of one-liners, skits and sketches from a variety of performers and other members of the audience which interspersed the music – what talent we have at St Christopher’s! Whether it was a solo effort from Janet Talbot or the teamwork of the Flying Zucchini’s, the humour and delivery was of a high standard throughout the evening. Coupled with a Ploughman’s supper, the Soirée flowed smoothly and a good time was had by all. Oh, and for those of you who missed it, I won’t tell you what the Flying Zucchini’s did – in case you get the chance to see them for yourselves……………… |
