On the evening of 2nd April I took a big step in my life as I recommitted myself to my baptismal vows. In the afternoon I was a nervous wreck. At one point I was having second thoughts about doing it and being the one to go first really got me a bit anxious. During the rehearsal I was given the option of going alone or with Deborah and I couldn't go alone. During the service I felt really nervous but something deep inside told me that all would be well. In the middle of the service the hymn "Amazing Grace" was played and I really loved it. Even while being confirmed some of the nerves were kicking in but than I felt happy and safe and excited. When we were given the candles I wanted to burst out with joy and it felt really wonderful to walk into the world with God as our guide. I will always remember that day and somewhere around, I could feel it ,there stood Jesus along side his father, our God.
