The ECC News

On the 26th October we held our annual Benefit Dinner/Dance at the Dilmun Club. It was a tremendous success – [see pictures on page 6/7]. We thank all our sponsors - DHL, Boskalis Westminster, BMMI, AXA Insurance, and donors of raffle prizes, our Dean who gave the opening prayer, the Dixielanders, including Oliver Ramsden from our congregation, DJ Kevin (he’s not so ‘krazy’, in fact he was perfect), Rev. Dick Westra in performing the ‘extraordinair’ auction which was applauded by all; The Dilmun Club, and all who supported the event by coming along and making it a memorable occasion and a wonderful outreach in supporting the poor of Bahrain.

So how is the money spent? The following is an update of our chronicle for the third quarter of 2007, and again it must be emphasized that all money given for charity goes to the needy. All administrative costs etc are covered by volunteers or donations.

Our founding vision is to recognise the great human potential of each person. Offer those in need a hand – not a handout. Serve as a catalyst in any ‘special needs’ situation. Channel funds to those in crisis situations.

If anyone would like to join the ECC it is open to all Christians who feel the Lord is calling them to dedicate their time to helping those in need.  Our activities are outlined below, and for those of you who would like to come along to our meetings and learn more about our work, we meet the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6.307.30pm at The Cathedral in the first upstairs meeting room: -
