Over the summer months the B.A.C.C. did a lot of work on the Dean’s 4th ‘New Directions’ document. This is an ongoing exercise to give us a focus for purpose and direction in our church life. At its July meeting the Council engaged in an exercise to identify priorities for the immediate future. As a result the following emerged as top issues for the Council to deal with in the coming months:
 

1.	The need to set up a Funding Group to oversee and ensure that our church life is adequately financed.
2.	To examine the need for more smaller subcommittees to deal with various aspects of our church life.
3.	More lay involvement in our worship and an exchange of speakers and preachers from other churches.
4.	To develop our youth work.
5.	Services need to start on time.
6.	We need a welcome pack and better Cathedral promotion in the wider community.

If you feel you can contribute to the furtherance of any of these aims please do come forward and make your views and contribution known to the clergy or churchwardens.
