God has been good! God has been very good! He has given us a bishop and within a time scale that has far exceeded our expectations. Some of us in our lack of faith thought we might only be making the announcement of our next bishop at the Synod in February.

In this issue of the BAN we are honoured to carry a letter of introduction from the Rt. Rev’d Michael Lewis who has accepted our call to be our next Bishop. Bishop Michael will arrive in Cyprus, where he will live for most of the time, during November and will be officially installed in the Cathedral in Nicosia on Saturday 24th November. A week later he will be in the Gulf in Bahrain to be installed here in the Cathedral either on Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd of December. At the time of going to press the day and time has not been finally decided.

Watch this space as we prepare to welcome Bishop Michael among us and to begin a new chapter in the life and witness of the Anglican Church in Cyprus and the Gulf.
