More than 120 friends of BISS enjoyed an evening at Candles Restaurant at the Dilmun Club on Thursday, 15^th April 2004. 

The annual dinner-dance is the only fund raising event of the year for the Society which has to rely solely on donations and gifted funds in order to continue it’s mission to seamen. 

Rev. Victor Salve and the Board of Managers of the Society worked hard to arrange an excellent evening.  The raffle with more than 50 excellent prizes ranging from a 21” TV, gold bracelets and lovely wrist watches, to copies of the ECC cook book, brought in a further BD.810 to add to the income from the sale of tickets. 

The excellent music provided by the Dilmon Dixielanders had people tapping their feet whilst they had their dinner, and ‘kicking the light fantastic’ on the dance floor throughout the evening.  The buffet dinner provided by the Club was really plentiful and very tasty with something to please everyone’s pallets.  Wine was included, and at BD.10,000 per head the evening was wonderful value for money, particularly knowing that the Society was benefiting.
