The Cathedral Charity Centre (formerly known as the Thrift Shop) continues to be busy on Thursday and Friday afternoons, and on Saturday mornings and afternoons.  Half of the proceeds from sales go to the Cathedral funds and the other half to the Ecumenical Conference of Charity.  In addition to members of Cathedral congregations, ECC volunteers also help in sorting and selling goods at the centre - it good to see many Christians of differing denominations working together to help the poor and needy in Bahrain.

Items that remain unsold in the Centre for a considerable time are periodically distributed to village centres so that nothing goes to waste.

The Centre is always in need of more volunteers and also of course, for 'merchandise'.  So if you have any clothes, toys or other articles which you would like to donate for a very worthy charitable cause, please contact either the Cathedral Administrator, Elizabeth George (Tel:  1725 3866) or Avril Taylor-Khajah (Tel: 3966 8828.
