'Christmas is Coming'

"Come, Thou long expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us;
Let us find our rest in Thee."

Birthdays and Anniversaries

 Sunday the 10th October during fellowship in the Coffee Room following the 10.30 am service, we celebrated five birthdays.  Not only were our Dean Alan and our senior caretaker Daniel celebrating their birthdays that week, but also Usha Khan, Geetha and Christine Francis marked another milestone in their lives.

In November we celebrate the birthdays of

Bob Kirsopp
and
Monette Deysel

May they have ' Many Happy Returns of the Day'

We also extend Wedding Anniversary greetings to

Yvonne and Uwe Stein
and wish them many more years of happiness together

Prayer

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong;
I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to learn to solve;
I asked for prosperity and God gave me a brain and brawn with which to work;
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome;
I asked for favours and God gave me opportunities;
I received nothing I wanted,
Everything I needed
My prayers had been answered.

From: Rachel Kirsopp

Please remember to pray for persecuted Christians - so many Christians do not have the freedom
to worship as we do here in Bahrain.

The Barnabas Fund based in Pewsey, UK, works to support Christian communities in
those parts of the world where they are facing poverty and  persecution.
