As Christmas approaches many of our 'regulars' will be leaving Bahrain for their holiday well before Christmas reaches its climax.  This means we start our Christmas preparations rather earlier than other parts of the world and our regular service programme requires appropriate adjustment.
Remembrance Sunday service will take place at St. Christopher's a week earlier than the rest of the world because of the Eid holiday.  Our main Remembrance Service will be at 6 pm on Sunday 7th November when ambassadors and associated organisations will be invited to come and lay a wreath in the Cathedral.

We shall be observing 11 am on the 11th day of the 11th Month on November 11th in the Christian cemetery.  This will not be a communion service.

The Sunday School Nativity Play

will be at 6 pm on Sunday, 5th December.  Last year we followed the play with a simple celebration of Holy Communion which seemed to work well.  We shall repeat this arrangement this year.

The Annual Traditional Service of 9 Lessons and Carols

will take place at 6 pm on Sunday, 12th December led by the Manama Singers.

Christmas Services

Please see the above diary of events and note that the Christingle Service is on Friday, 24th December at 9.30 am and on Christmas Day at Awali at 9.30 am.  We hope to share the Christmas morning service with the Awali Inter-denominational congregation.

Before the school terms end by 15th December we shall not be having a Carols by Candlelight service in the same form as previous years.  This year we shall have 'A Christmas Miscellany by Candlelight' at 6pm on Sunday 19th December.  You are invited to make a contribution to the service by choosing a reflective reading, poem, hymn, carol, or song etc. either for us all to sing or play on CD or whatever.  It is your choice.  Please submit your contribution to the Dean at least by the day before the service  so that some form of ordered programme can be devised.
