FAREWELLS
|
During September and
October we said farewell to two couples, both of whom have played a
significant part in the life of St. Christopher's over the years.
Firstly, Mary and Freddie Wilkinson returned to the UK with very heavy hearts but their roots are already going down in their new home. Mary was often around in the compound playing the piano or the organ for the Wednesday or Sunday morning Communion, or Sunday school on a Sunday afternoon. Mary's gifts are still very much in evidence as we continue to use her Eucharistic setting 'The Bahrain Setting' which is so 'sing-able'. Freddie was a regular at the Sunday 6 pm service and often around when we needed a strong pair of hands and a wise head.
Heather and Philip Dew
left at the beginning of October after 16 or so years in Bahrain.
