The Jumble Sale -

As
a result of wonderful team camaraderie and a lot of hard work, the
Jumble Sale held on 7th october 2004 raised a gross total of
BD.818.950, far in excess of our expectations. Thank you to everyone who donated second hand items to the cause: clothes, soft furnishings, books, toys, bric-a-brac and all manner of paraphernalia. Even a pair of wooden cross-country skis found an enthusiastic buyer - for when it snows in Bahrain, so I was told! Thank you, too, to all volunteers who helped pre-sort, box and store items before the event; those who shifted tables and racks, arranged and sold merchandise on the day; to the ECC volunteers who organised the Charity Centre stall and refreshments in the coffee room; and to those who stayed to clear the rooms ready for the evening congregations. Thank you to Daniel and Khalid, our caretakers, for their part too. Maybe we shall do it all again next year!
