See here for regular service times at the Cathedral and Awali

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the sheer volume of traffic at certain times of the day (particularly at 6pm on Sundays) is making it difficult for many people to get to church on time.  Don’t worry, we shall try to start our services more or less on time; just arrive, and when you get there, quietly come and join us.  Some people have decided to give a bit more time to God and leave home a little earlier preparing for worship in their cars – is that really possible in Bahrain traffic!

Sunday Club
Calling ALL children from 0-10 to come along to the Cathedral at 4pm on Sundays for an hour of worship, fun and fellowship.  Bring your Mum and Dad long.  They’d enjoy it too.  We have a great programme lined up from now until Christmas including the Nativity Play – rehearsals start NOW!

Harvest Festival
All our services over the weekend 1st-3rd October will focus on Harvest Thanksgiving.
You are invited to bring gifts of produce (preferably tins and packets) which can be distributed to the needy people of Bahrain through the ECC, the Mission to Seafarers, and to handicapped Bahraini children.

Pet Service
St. Christopher’s year would not be complete without the annual Pet Service which this year is at 9.30am on Friday, 15th October.  Bring those pets along, be they small or big, cuddly or untouchable, and really celebrate ‘all creatures great and small’.

Gulf Clergy Quiet Day
Wednesday, 29th September is planned as a time for the ‘local’ Anglican diocesan clergy in the Gulf to gather together at St. Christopher’s for a time of spiritual refreshment and fellowship.  There may be an opportunity for members of St. Christopher’s congregations to join our quiet times in the Cathedral on that day, so please keep an eye on the pew sheet for more details.  We may also need some offers of hospitality for up to two nights each for those joining us.

All Saints and All Souls
These great Christian festivals fall at the very end of October and we shall celebrate them together over the weekend 29th-31st October.  If you have dear ones who have died recently or in years gone by and would like them remembered in church at that time, then please submit their names to the cathedral office during October ready for inclusion in that commemoration weekend.
