FAREWELLS

As is all too common in Bahrain we have had to say a final farewell to a number of people from the life of St. Christopher’s over the last couple of months.

Among them we mention Freddie and Mary Wilkinson who left us with very heavy hearts to return to the UK.

We have come to rely on Mary’s organ and piano playing skills at many of our services and Sunday Club and in their running of the Scottish dancing and the work they have done with the Manama Singers and just being around and being themselves.

Also we sadly said farewell to Mary Doyle, a Sunday morning regular (with various members of her family) who was also a great favourite with the children on Sunday afternoons with her fund of interesting games.

Just as we were getting to know them, Rory and Rae Ellis decided it was time to move off and establish a new life in Australia.  Charles Bemridge who has been a regular at 6.00 pm on Sundays for five years and a great supporter of our fund raising is moving off to Hong Kong.

We give thanks for them all, and also for those who have quietly slipped away unnoticed.  May God go with them and prosper them in whatever new life they undertake.
