Friends of St. Christopher's Cathedral

Patrons
Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to Bahrain,
H.E. Mr. Peter Ford
The Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf,
The Right Reverend Clive Handford
Major-General (Rtd) Gerald Green, C.B.E.

We all need friends!
Over the years, our friends in the expatriate community have generously supported the building of the Cathedral, and the cost of expanding the buildings and maintaining them in good order.

Even more now at St. Christopher's, we need friends.  The new Friends organisation is going to care for and support the Cathedral buildings and its work.  They will raise money to support various projects to help conserve the fabric, and to enrich and beautify this unique Cathedral.

In the last ten years, the projects we have completed include:
Construction of a new Cathedral Office
Major improvements to the Dean's House
Construction of a new Community Centre
Refurbishment of the Bishop's Flat
Refurbishment of the Worship Centre
Future planned projects include:
Refurbishment of the Cathedral Chairs
Who are the Friends?
Membership of the Friends is open to all those who wish to associate themselves with the work of the Cathedral, or with the maintenance and improvement of its fabric.  This includes both residents here on the island, and all those around the world who have links with Bahrain and with the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf.
