| Friday Club
Meets in St Christopher's on Friday mornings and provides opportunities for children to explore and deepen Christian faith in ways that are appropriate to their age through songs, stories, drama, craft and games. At Christmas the children present a Nativity play and on the Palm Sunday weekend a Passion play will be performed as part of the Friday morning worship. On the first Sunday of the month the All age family service draws on the themes that the children have been involved with in the previous month for a lively worship service.. Baptisms For some reason or other we seem to be enjoying an upsurge in infant baptisms recently. It has been our policy to hold baptisms in the Friday morning family service, but baptisms every week can get a bit disruptive to the normal course of our worship and teaching. So a decision has been made that while we will continue to occasionally have baptisms in the Friday Family Service a special baptism service is also taking place a little later at 11.30 a.m. when required. Another congregation has this worship ‘slot’ regularly booked but since they do not require it every week on those occasions it is available to us. |
